This tutorial should be done when your phone is already rooted and has clockworkmod installed. I restored backup to CyanogenMod7 with Clockworkmod not long after installing this ROM. But this tutorial still teaches you how to backup, restore & change ROMS so you can try out other ROMS if you wish.
